This is a real issue to me. It pisses me off to no end to hear my female colleagues moan about their exaggerated impression of a disparity in wages when they get seven years more life. And that's mostly in retirement! How about using these demographics realistically so that men retire at 60 and women at 67?
More than half the women I work with choose to work part time. How come I don't feel like I can do that? Of course they are less stressed! My grandfather had a dream of traveling around the country after he retired. He collected brochures of attractions from every state. He got a nice camper when he tuned 65. Then he died. |
